When in Flagstaff, you have to visit Salsa Brava for delicious Mexican food. You can get the best Fine Dining at The Cottage Place. Try chef Frank Branham's roasted duck.; lamb chops: shrimp bisque and creme brulee.

I realize that we definitely need to drink more together. I'm definitely a cocktail newb (though I did make plenty of drinks the old Trader Vic's way when I service bartended for my pops at The Glass Door). My Asian stomach doesn't let me go nuts on the booze but reading this, I'd definitely like to expand my horizons with a little guidance.

I just stopped by this week - March 2011 - This place used to be fantastic until they recently changed management. I loved going here because it was so unique - a refreshing change from chain restaurants. They had great food and their own infused vodkas with really interesting flavors and a friendly staff. Now all of the good food has gone out the window, the staff is rude, and I could find the same drink menu at my local Friday's for half the price. I have absolutely no reason to come back here unless they bring back the old menu and management - or at least someone slightly friendly. I recognized the new people from Collin's Irish Pub next door, I will not be going back there either since they destroyed the Piano Room.

My wife and I were given a $200 gift certificate to Binkleys restaurant in Cave Creek Arizona. Over the course of a year we were unable to make a reservation as the place is often booked and with two small kids with varying schedules and a heavy travel diary advance planning is difficult.

Today we finally got a reservation only to have the manage tell us they would not longer honor the certificate as it was two months over due.

This place may be a good restaurant but it is a consumer trap for gift certificates. The management is rude and belligerent and they are not worthy of your money. Forget it - take your hard earned money somewhere else.

Great post. By my own boozy math, it looks like I was present during at least five of these scenarios.

I just can't decide if that's something I need to be concerned about.

I love the way he speaks candidly and such strong voice depicting the restaurants the what they serve. I have a blog of my own and I have been trying to emulate this style.
